SUMMER TOUR WITH SUBLIME WITH ROME & DIRTY HEADS ANNOUNCED
Alt-rock outfit Bleeker released their self-titled debut EP across all digital retail and streaming platforms via Five Seven Music today, alongside the video for their single “Highway”. Following the release of their music video and the EP, the band will embark on a west coast tour with The Struts, kicking off in Santa Barbara on March 28th at Velvet Jones. The band is also slated to join The Summer Tour, opening for Sublime with Rome and label-mates, Dirty Heads, in July, see full dates below. “Highway” will also appear on the tour sampler tour ticket purchasers receive.
Throughout the past few years, the band has been steadily building a loyal legion of fans by touring their native Canada and are ready to share their ultra catchy, hook-heavy sound worldwide. The brand new video for “Highway” truly captures the bands unique up-tempo, garage-pop sound that has been missing from the music world for far too long. Get hypnotized by fast cars, beautiful women, but most importantly, Bleeker’s octane-fueled anthem that’ll take your summer by storm. Their dynamic energy is perfectly replicated by the featured Dodge Charger, revving its engine and doing donuts around the rocking 4-piece. The band’s first collaboration, “Highway” was written by Jacob Hoggard, Matt Squire, and Steve Tippeconnic, and this coming of minds has created a song for the ages. Their spirited performing, their style, and their sound sets Bleeker far apart from their counterparts.
Vocalist Taylor Perkins offered, “Bleeker has worked really hard to be where we are today and we cannot wait to start sharing our music with the world. We’re all really stoked to get on the road and perform, getting to meet and make new fans all over. Grab our EP and come hang with us this year!!” Perkins asks, "If you cannot have fun in rock 'n' roll and music, then where can you have fun?"
Musically, Bleeker cross-pollinate the swagger of The Black Keys with psych-tinged groove, and therefore they fall among artists such as Jet in the alt rock spectrum. But what sets Bleeker apart is an ever-so-subtle current of loose cannon danger that courses through every riff, note, and melody of their self titled EP. When the band is on the stage, their delivery is time-tested with true rock ‘n roll spirit, a true force to be reckoned with, a test of your ability to stand still.
Comprised of Perkins (vocals), Cole Perkins (guitar), Dan Steinke (guitar), and Mike Van Dyk (bass), the men of Bleeker live to play and play to live, approaching the art and craft of making music with the same vigor and spirit as a band that has something to prove. If you hear polished production throughout the EP, this is no mistake – Bleeker was mixed and produced by James Michael (Simple Plan, Halestorm, Papa Roach). The result?
