(NEW YORK, NY, MAY 13, 2016) – Two of Canada’s most exciting, break-out indie-rock artists, ATTICA RIOTS and BLEEKER, will be joining forces this June for a full tour around their shared homeland. Beginning June 15th in Edmonton, these alternative acts will be performing tracks from their latest projects, including BLEEKER’s octane-fueled single, “Highway”, and ATTICA RIOT’s hypnotizing song, “Misery”. A pairing that will have packed venues dancing across the country, this is a tour that should not be missed for all music fans, with genre elements implemented by both bands that will leave you immediately hooked. Every ticket purchased for this tour will receive a FREE CD sampler featuring tracks from each artist – see the sampler track listing below. ATTICA RIOTS are slated to have their debut Five Seven Music LP out later this year and BLEEKER have recently released their self-titled debut EP, which has been welcomed with open arms around the world.
The natural habitat of the ATTICA RIOTS trio, comprised of vocalist/guitarist Bobby Desjarlais, Kyle Erickson on guitar, and Anders Erickson on drums, is on the stage. Applauded for their commanding presence, the band has become a staple at large Canadian festivals over the years including Canadian Music Week, North By North East, Breakout West, and M for Montreal. Combining elements of punk, dance, and the catchiest of pop, ATTICA RIOTS’ capacity to deliver a high-energy performance time after time captivates crowds wherever they go. Having given music fans a taste of their upcoming LP with “Misery”, we can all expect a full-fledged album produced by Mark Needham (American Authors, Imagine Dragons, The Killers) from the trio later this summer.
Four-piece, BLEEKER, are the modern-day cross-pollination of The Rolling Stones’ swagger with the unshakeable groove of The Black Keys. As showcased in their new music video for their single, “Highway”, BLEEKER are slick as oil with their croons, melodies, and hooks keeping the listener activated the entire way through. Made up of Taylor Perkins on vocals, Cole Perkins and Dan Steinke on guitar, and Mike Van Dyk on the bass, the band’s self-titled EP has taken off with massive steam. For their upcoming debut LP, BLEEKER turned to powerhouse producer James Michael (Papa Roach, Halestorm, Mötley Crüe) to create a dynamic album that will encapsulate every influence the band draws inspiration from. Never a dull moment, the boys of BLEEKER keep their music and performance fun, first and foremost.
Fans can purchase the self-titled BLEEKER EP today.
